Energy commodities trader and convenience store network AS VIRŠI-A (Virši) has opened the doors of a new service station to drivers in Riga, Viskaļu street 2A. Virši Viskaļi welcomes visitors with a modern interior design and a full range of around-the-clock services.
The Company invested EUR 1.5 million in the construction of the new facility, landscaping the area and building an energy-efficient, functional location that meets the needs of its customers as well as the new standards. The service station in the suburb of Čiekurkalns is open 24 hours a day and offers automatic refuelling, the most common types of fuel (95 and 98 petrol, diesel, together with AdBlue), dispensable windscreen fluid, a wide range of drinks, snacks and car products, as well as comfortable seating area in the Virši store.
“Starting the new year dynamically and actively, we have opened the 76th location within the Virši network. Ahead lies equally vigorous work as we continue progressing towards our strategic goal of expanding the Virši network to at least 80 service stations by the end of the year, including outside Latvia. The first step in expanding our geographic coverage to neighbouring countries is commencing operations in Lithuania – as early as this spring. This will be situated in the southern part of the country at a new facility near the town of Marijampolė,” outlining the plans, says Jānis Vība, Chairman of the Board at Virši.
To further strengthen its market position, the Company is also currently building new service stations in the Latvian towns of Sigulda and Salaspils. These will be operational in the first half of the year.
